Figures just released by the Shreveport Airport Authority show that the number of people flying into and out of Shreveport Regional has increased for each of the past eight months when compared to the same months the year before.
An airport can be one of the quietest places in the world to spend Christmas Eve; that is as long as there isn’t a deviant bartender somewhere in the place feeding last-minute travelers a high-octane concoction of holiday despair and Makers Mark. At that point, everything from hurt feelings to an international incident is possible - and highly likely.
Hundreds of travelers at New York’s JFK Airport who’d already gone through security screenings were forced to do the unthinkable — get in line and do it all over again. It happened Saturday when it was discovered that one of the TSA agents didn’t know his metal detector had been unplugged all morning.
Beginning bright and early at 4:30 am Wednesday morning, November 2nd, passengers at Shreveport Regional Airport will be greeted by brand new, totally remodeled restaurant spaces on each concourse at the airport.
For the tenth month in a row, the Shreveport Regional Airport saw an increase in the number of enplanements, or passengers flying out of Shreveport, and a rise in total passengers using Shreveport Regional Airport.
