Mayor Cedric Glover will hold a town hall meeting Monday, October 10, to update residents on topics ranging from his proposal to secure more than $80 million for roadwork to the latest news on the I-49 inner-city connector project.

Northwestern State University Theatre and Dance will offer something for everyone during its 2011-12 season with musicals, period pieces, contemporary works and dance to be performed.

A bill proposing a ban on using hand-held cell phones while driving is defeated in the House Transportation Committee.

By far, Louisiana has more people locked up per 100k people than any other state in the Union, by several hundred in fact.  With that as a backdrop, Shreveport Police report the number of arrests made through April is up 10% when compared with last year’s numbers.
