Shreveport Police are searching for a man accused of a hold-up of a pair local convenience stores Thursday night in east Shreveport.

At approximately 10:57 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to and responded to the Circle K located in the 700 block of Pierremont Road relative to an armed robbery of the business.  It was on officer’s arrival there, contact was made with store employees who advised a male entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the register.

The man, while pointing the gun at the clerk, managed to make off with an undisclosed amount of money before running from the store and getting into a what was described as a silver Toyota Corolla with temporary registration.  The clerk, while shaken, suffered no injuries.

In a second armed robbery, approximately 15 minutes later, patrolmen were called to the Circle K located in the 1000 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway regarding a suspect who entered the business, produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.  The armed man was described very similarly as the suspect in the previous robbery moments earlier.  In each occurrence, the suspect was described as a light skinned black male, who stood approximately six feet tall, with a stocky build.  Additionally, the bandit was noted as having a beard and what appeared to be a tattoo on his chest.  After making off with an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect ran off in an unknown direction.  No injuries were reported during the robbery.  Investigators are working to recover video surveillance in each incident.  Police are asking for anyone with information on the robberies to contact Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit their website at:   www.lockemup.org
