A Shreveport man is behind bars in connection with a shooting that left another man hospitalized.

Just after 2:30 yesterday afternoon, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Wallace Avenue at Damaka Drive, where 25-year-old Trenton Williams had been shot.

Detectives learned Williams and 25-year-old Antonio White got into an argument over a vehicle, when White allegedly pulled a gun and shot Williams in the leg. White was driven by private auto to Willis-Knighton South and was treated for a non-life-threatening wound.

White was located at a home in the 7900 block of Trannie Lane and taken into custody without incident. He was later transported to police headquarters and interviewed, then charged with aggravated second degree battery, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and on two unrelated traffic warrants.
