Police hope releasing this video will lead them to a suspect in a weekend carjacking. It happened the evening of Friday, April 19th.

A woman tells investigators she was about to exit a private parking lot in the 4100 block of Youree Drive, when a man approached her vehicle and beckoned for her to roll down her window. Then he forced his way into the car and sped off, narrowly missing other cars.

The victim managed to jump out of the vehicle at the intersection of Southfield and Youree. The suspect kept going. The woman wasn't seriously injured, but was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was found abandoned near Clyde Fant Parkway. The surveillance video shows the man suspected of committing the caper. Take a look, and let police or Crime Stoppers know if you recognize him, and know where he might be.
