Supreme Court Won’t Hear Bossier Bond Case

The Bossier Parish School Board says it’s received word that the Louisiana Supreme Court has denied attorney John Settle’s writ application. Settle had been seeking to overturn the April 21st bond election — first at the district court level, then the Second Circuit. In a written statement, Superintendent D-C Machen says, “We are pleased that the decisions of the lower courts upholding the board’s actions relative to the April election are now final and look forward to begining construction of the much-needed schools that the bond proceeds will fund.”
