The heat and sunshine usually means kids are out of school and enjoying the weather.  But many are also doing summer reading assignments.  However, one school district sent out an embarrassing list of books riddled with typographical errors.

Hempstead School District on New York's Long Island sent its summer reading list to students for them to prepare for the upcoming school year.  However, parents noticed some egregious errors.

Many of us are familiar with the story of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.  However, students in this school are supposedly reading "The Great Gypsy" by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Or, many may remember reading Animal Farm or 1984 by George Orwell.  But these students are supposedly reading Animal Farm by George Ornell.
