Substitute Teacher at Huntington High School Arrested for Battering Student
A local substitute teacher has been arrested in connection with an alleged battery on a high school student.
Shreveport police investigators were called to the school to a report that a substitute working at Huntington High School committed a battery on a 15-year-old female student during a class session. The student wasn't injured and did not require any medical attention.
Investigators with the SPD's Juvenile Division launched an investigation into the accusations, and later arrested 63-year-old Lola Cawthorne of Shreveport with simple battery.
