State’s Ranking Improves
“Chief Executive” magazine has just released its 2011 “Best and Worst States for Business” ranking. And, this year, Louisiana checks in at #27.Even though that right about in the middle, the Louisiana Economic Development department says it’s a 14-spot improvement from where we were last year — #41. LED says the “Chief Executive” ranking is based on a nationwide survey conducted earlier this year. More than 500 CEOs across the United States were asked to grade the states on their overall business climates as well as a variety of specific business climate factors — including taxation and regulation, workforce quality, and living environment.
