First of all, I won the bet. But more on that later. This morning on Newsradio 710 KEEL, we talked about the amendment by State Rep. Kenneth Havard of Jackson to Senate Bill 468. That's the bill that increases the minimum age of strippers in Louisiana from 18 to 21. But Havard - he says he intended this as a joke - wanted to amend the bill to include a maximum weight of 160.

From wbrz.com:

"According to online records, Rep. Kenneth E. Havard proposed an amendment that would also limit employees to be "between twenty-one and twenty-eight years of age and shall be no more than one hundred and sixty pounds in weight. He later withdrew the amendment and the bill was passed."

Now, back to the bet. Erin (McCarty) said "without a doubt" she could not only get Havard's personal cell, but get him on the radio by 9am. Well, after calling in a number of favors, she got his number...but, alas, amidst the controversy - and criticism - the Rep is not speaking to the media "for the forseeable future".

Trust me on this...I would have much rather lost this one. THAT would have been one awesome interview!
