State Fair of Louisiana Schedule Revised Due to Bad Weather

Because of all the rain we're seeing already this weekend, and what we're expecting tomorrow, the State Fair of Louisiana has revised its schedule.

The fair will be closed Sunday, October 25, with the exception of the Livestock Show, which will continue as scheduled.

The fair is open today with very limited exhibits and food vendors. Due to the weather conditions, the carnival rides and attractions will not be able to operate for safety reasons.

Tonight's concert featuring Frank Foster and Lainey Wilson has been canceled. Fair management feels that's the best decision to protect the fans and the integrity of the event. They send out deepest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, but safety is what is most important.

The State Fair of Louisiana Pro Rodeo will take place as scheduled tonight in Hirsch Memorial Coliseum beginning at 7 p.m. Doors opened at 6.
