State Fair Dates and Theme Announced

Mark your calendars -- we now know the dates for this year's State Fair of Louisiana.With a theme of "A Fair to Remember," the 2011 version of the State Fair of Louisiana will run from October 27th through November 13th. General Manager Chris Giordano and the fair's Board of Directors say they want to focus on family fun and celebrate all of the unique attractions the fair offers. Many of those attractions are free after gate admission -- among them, Circus Hollywood, the exotic Ultimate Safari, livestock shows and educational agricultural exhibits. Among the musical headliners this year -- John Anderson, Blue Oyster Cult, and Wayne Toups -- to name just a few. The big PRCA rodeo will be November 4th and 5th in the Hirsch Coliseum.
