Because of the inclement weather expected all day today, the State Fair of Louisiana will be closed.

It will reopen Thursday, November 6, which is dollar day. Parking and gate admission, as well as carnival rides, will be $1 each beginning at 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Fair officials say the Half Price Wednesday promotion will be honored Friday, November 7. Parking and gate admission are free from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and $5 each after that.

Concerts on the main stage this week are:

Thursday: Mademoiselle at 7 p.m., Shilo at 7:30 p.m. and Bad Mamma Jamma at 8 p.m.

Friday: Louisiana Swamp Donky at 8:30 p.m. The Kelly Hobson Band will open at 6:30.

Saturday: Dragstrip Phantoms at 3 and 4 p.m., Grammy Award-Winner Wayne Toups at 8:30 p.m. Opening for Toups is Cody Cooke & The Bayou Outlaws at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday: "Faith at the Fair" starting at 3 p.m.
