If you have a young performer in your home and you'd like to give them an opportunity to broaden their stage experience, Stage Center's School of Performing Arts can help.

.Stage Center, the production group that brought 'A Christmas Story: The Musical" and "Disney's The Little Mermaid" to life recently is looking for young people to perform in upcoming shows as well as enroll in their performance classes that include acting, singing, and tap dancing. They will also be holding auditions for all of the SOPA's upcoming productions on August 20, beginning at 2PM. Auditions are open to kids from 6-18 years old.

Who: OPEN CALL for ages 6-18. (APPOINTMENTS ARE ENCOURAGED, BUT NOT REQUIRED)

What: Prepare 16-32 bars (roughly 45 seconds) of a contemporary musical theater song to sing a capella. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SING FROM THE SHOW. Some may be asked to attend a callback in the form of a dance call on Sunday, August 21. HEADSHOTS AND RESUMES ARE ENCOURAGED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

When: Saturday, AUGUST 20 beginning at 2PM. Auditionees without an appointment must be signed-in before 4pm in order to audition. Callbacks will take place on Sunday, AUGUST 21 beginning at 3PM.

Where: Stage Center Studios at the Highland Center, 520 Olive Street, STE A-01

Rehearsals: JAMES will meet on Thursdays 4:15pm - 6:15pm, beginning AUGUST 25, and on Saturdays 2pm-5pm. The production will require nightly rehearsals within two weeks of performances. There will be a parent meeting/orientation (TBA).

Performances: NOVEMBER 3-5, 2016 at Emmett Hook Center

Cost: $200.00 Tuition (plus $150.00 supplemental program ad sales.)
