A suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing last week. 40-year-old Richard Thomas was booked into the Shreveport City Jail for an incident May 5th at a home in the 2100 block of Freddie Street. Responding officers found 20-year-old Jacary Johnson there suffering from lacerations to his head and a stab wound to his left side. He was taken to LSU Hospital with serious injuries. Police say Johnson had apparently been involved in a dispute with Thomas, and allegedly broke a bottle of vodka over Johnson's head and stabbed him with the broken glass. Thomas took off, but investigators caught up with him last night and arrested him without incident. He's charged with one count of aggravated battery.
