The annual St. Vincent de Paul chariy dinner / fundraiser will be held Thursdy, September 8 the Bossier Civic Center. Registration will begin at 5:30pm, dinner by Savoie's will be srved at 6:30, and the evening's program, featuring guest speakers Bishop Larry Brandon from Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral and Dr. Pat Day from First United Methodist. The Diocese of Shreveport's Bishop Michael Duca will also speak.

One of the oldest and most effective charities in the world, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization of more 700,000 men and women throughout the world who voluntarily join together to grow spiritually and offer person-to-person service to the needy and those living in poverty in 149 countries on five continents.

Organized locally throughout the Diocese of Shreveport, "Vincentians" embracing all works of charity and justice. Annually, Vincentians across North Louisiana serve almost 20,000 people in need through over 3,000 home visits, hospital visits, prison visits, numerous food pantries and a free pharmacy – accumulating more than 31,000 hours of dedicated service to those in need.
