A man dressed as Spider-Man slugged  a policeman in the face in New York City over the weekend, another in the latest episode of child-friendly characters displaying dangerous behavior in that city's famed Times Square.

This web slinging wannabe was later idnified as 25-year-old Junior Bishop of Brooklyn. He was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was held on $3,500 bail.

Bishop is one of many performers who are permitted to collect donations for posing for photographs. According to eyewitnesses, he became belligerent with tourists, then police, loudly demanding that he be paid for pictures.
