The initiative moves on down the road. The Shreveport Police Department's door-to-door crime-fighting initiative will stop in the Briarcliff neighborhood this evening. Police Chief Willie Shaw will join Community Liaison Officers, neighborhood assistance team officers and other city officials at 5:30 this afternoon, in the parking lot of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the 3200 block of Colquitt Road. Then, they'll canvass the neighborhood on foot, visiting residents to talk about crime and quality of life issues. they plan to visit about 100 homes, and distribute crime-prevention information and police contact numbers.
