SPAR’s Independence Day Pool & Sprayground Schedule

Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) and Rock Solid Sports announce the July 4^th holiday swimming pools and spraygrounds schedules.  All swimming pools will be open from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, except Southern Hills, which will open from 2:00pm – 7:00pm.  SPAR’s seven (7) spraygrounds will be in operation from 8:00am to 8:00pm.  Riverview Park’s sprayground will be in operation from 7:00am until 1:00am. 

The five (5) swimming pools open for the summer include Airport Park, Bill Cockrell, David Raines, Querbes and Southern Hills.  SPAR’s seven (7) spraygrounds include Airport Park, David Raines, Hattie Perry, Lakeside and Querbes community centers, along with AC Steere and Riverview Park. 

SPAR’s swimming pools are located throughout Shreveport and offer a nearby facility for the public to enjoy a cool refreshing swim in the summer heat.   The spray parks have become very popular neighborhood amenities, also offering respites from the sweltering summer heat.  The cool spray of water lowers the body temperature and increases the enjoyment of a beautiful summer day.  Use of the spraygrounds is free of charge. 

Grab your bathing suit and cool out on a hot summer day with SPAR and Rock Solid Sports!  Water shoes are recommended for all spray parks.
