SPAR BOND PROJECT UPCOMING PUBLIC MEETINGS SCHEDULE

SHREVEPORT, LA, April 24, 2012: Shreveport Public Assembly &

Recreation (SPAR) continues its ongoing public meetings for input

from the public during the design process of the 2011 bond projects.

In describing the purpose of the public meetings, SPAR Director

Shelly Ragle stated “Before the architects and landscape architects

start work on the projects, the public, who are the customers and

users of the facilities, must be given the opportunity to express

their needs and desires for the projects”. The general public is

invited and encouraged to attend the meetings.

Previous meetings have been held at Bilberry Park, Cargill Park

(at Wildwood), Hattie Parry Park, Mamie Hicks Park and Valencia

Park.

The upcoming meeting schedule is as follows:

Huntington Park Golf Course – Monday, April 30 at 1:00pm

Airport Park Community Center – Monday, May 7 at 6:00pm

Querbes Park Golf Pro Shop – Wednesday, May 9 at 1:00pm

Municipal Auditorium – Wednesday, May 9 at 5:30pm
