Residents of a section of south Bossier Parish will be without water for a little while next week while repairs are being made to a washout on LA Hwy. 157 south of the LA 527 intersection.

Officials say the water will be shut off at around 8:30 a.m. Monday in the area from Hwy. 157 at China Nook Road to LA Hwy. 154 at the 157 intersection to the Lake Bistineau dam. The water is expected to be off most of the day Monday.

Once water is restored, the system will be placed under a boil advisory. The South Bossier Water System will be notified when water quality is checked and approved.

A section of LA 157 was washed away when floodwaters inundated the area last week.
