Texas is moving forward with a bill that would require sonograms before most abortions.  Do you agree with this proposed law?  Check out the article and leave us a comment.

Opponents of abortion have won approval before the Texas Senate for a bill that would make it mandatory that doctors to conduct a sonogram before performing an abortion and that they describe whether the fetus has arms, legs or internal organs to the patient. The bill requires doctors to perform the sonogram at least two hours before an abortion takes place and to provide the woman with the opportunity to view a sonogram, or hear the fetal heart beat.  The bill makes exceptions for cases of rape, incest or where the fetus has fatal abnormalities.  The vote was 21 for the bill, and 10 against. The author of the bill, Sen. Dan Patrick of Houston, Texas says the bill is a great thing for women and for Texas. The state House must now pass one of four similar bills.
