The Bossier Sheriff Office conducted a sobriety checkpoint late Friday in the 5,600 block of Barksdale Blvd.

Deputies tell KEEL News 400 vehicles were screened and four people were arrested. Deputies also issued 10 tickets for various offenses.
The checkpoint began at 10 p.m. Friday and ended at 4 a.m. Saturday in order to identify and remove impaired drivers from the road before they cause injury or death to themselves or others and to increase public awareness to the seriousness of driving while impaired. “Compliance with Louisiana driving laws is our ultimate goal in order to keep everyone safe on the road,” said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington.

Bossier City Police Department and Louisiana State Police also assisted.
