Six NSU Grads Take Spots In State Legislature

Six Northwestern State University alumni took oaths of office as members of the Louisiana Legislature Monday in ceremonies at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge.

Northwestern State alumni who are serving in the legislature are State Sen. Gerald Long of Winnfield and State Reps. Terry R. Brown of Colfax, Henry Burns of Haughton, Kenny Cox of Mansfield and HerbertDixon and Lance Harris of Alexandria.

“We are proud of these outstanding alumni who are willing to take on a leadership role on behalf of the people of the state of Louisiana,” said Northwestern State President Dr. Randall J. Webb. ” I look forward to working with each of them over the next four years.”
