Shreveport’s El Dorado Casino Has New GM

Eldorado Casino has a new general manager. Robert Urland takes over the job at the downtown Shreveport resort replacing Mike Whitemaine, who was recently promoted to Senior Vice President of Regional Operations.

Urland has been with El Dorado Shreveport since 2005, starting as Director of Food and Beverage, then moving up to Assistant General Manager in 2008. Urland  will oversee all Eldorado Shreveport operations, including gaming, food and beverage, player development, human resources, entertainment and facilities.

 Urland is originally from upstate New York, serving in the Marine Corps before beginning his gaming career in New Orleans He has worked in the casino business in the Shreveport-Bossier for more than 18 years.
