Study: Shreveport’s a Good Place to Start a Business

Shreveport has been named one of the top 20 U.S. cities in which to start a business.  

The social media network wallethub.com has ranked Shreveport number 18 on its 2014 "Best Cities to Start a Business" list.

The study analyzed entrepreneurial opportunities in the 150 largest cities in the country.  It looked at 14 metrics -- ranging from the five-year survival rate and the affordability of office space to the educational background of the local labor force.

Jacksonville, Florida, ranked at the top of the list.
