Shreveport has been named one of the top 20 U.S. cities in which to start a business.

The social media network wallethub.com has ranked Shreveport number 18 on its 2014 “Best Cities to Start a Business” list.

The study analyzed entrepreneurial opportunities in the 150 largest cities in the country.  It looked at 14 metrics — ranging from the five-year survival rate and the affordability of office space to the educational background of the local labor force.

Jacksonville, Florida, ranked at the top of the list.

You can see the entire list at Wallethub’s site.
