A 42-year-old Shreveport woman has been charged after shooting herself in the hand. Police responded to a call about a shooting last night on Grimmett Drive.

When they got there, they found Sheila Marshall suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand. Marshall was transported to LSU Health with a non-life-threatening injury.
Detectives discovered Marshall had been in an argument with a group of people when she armed herself with a handgun and fired a shot in her own hand.
No one else was injured.
Marshall has been charged with one count each of illegal use of a weapon and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. She was booked into the Shreveport City Jail upon her release from the hospital.
