Shreveport Woman Arrested for Helping Son Avoid Arrest

An arrest has been made in connection with the Tuesday night killing of 21-year-old Prentiss Britton at the Cooper Road Plaza Apartments.  

But the person arrested is not the primary suspect.  Police are still trying to find 19-year-old Andrew Smith but they've arrested his 36-year-old mother, Demetrice Smith.  She's been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.  She's accused of helping her son avoid capture.  If you can help police find Andrew Smith, you're asked to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373
