Shortly before 6:00 p.m. last evening, Shreveport Police responded to a teenager being shot in the 4100 block of Belmont.  Upon their arrival they discovered the victim, 17 year old Arron Harris suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm and chest.  Harris was treated at the scene and taken to LSU Hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed a Black, possibly Toyota or Lexus type vehicle with a sunroof, was seen in the area shortly before the shooting and the driver was observed speaking to two other black males on Belmont.  Shortly thereafter, the vehicle stopped, the b/m driver opened the car door and fired several shots from possibly a handgun, striking the victim, then fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle as well as the black male driver and possibly a b/m passenger.  Anyone having any information as to the identity of the persons responsible for this shooting, are encouraged to call Shreveport Police at 673-2583 or Crime Stopper at 673-7373 or www.lockemup.org
