A man wanted by Shreveport police is behind bars following a standoff. Detectives had been looking for 23-year-old Jimmy Durden in connection with a double shooting last month in the 6500 block of Quillen. They got wind that he might be at a house on Moray Drive, in the Newcastle Subdivision, so they went there to try to arrest him. He was there, but he barricaded himself in the house and refused to come out. That led to a standoff that lasted about an hour-and-a-half and brought out the Special Response Team. Durden and a pregnant woman finally came out of the house with their hands up just before 4:30 and Durden was taken into custody. He's now been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on two counts of attempted second-degree murder and one of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
