A man wanted in connection with a stabbing last night in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood is now in jail. The stabbing happened at about 8:20 last night in the 100 block of Egan.

That's where Shreveport police found a 17-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to his right side. He was taken to LSU Hospital with what's described as a serious wound. Detectives found out that the victim and another man, identified as 36-year-old Jerry Braxton, were involved in some type of dispute, when Braxton allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the teen.

He took off, but authorities located him a short time later at his home in the same block of Egan and arrested him on a charge of aggravated battery.
