With statewide controversy increasing over the removal of Civil War statues in New Orleans, and with a an increasing call for removal of Shreveport's Confederate monument at the Caddo Courtnouse, Rep. Thomas Carmody tells 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about this bill that would call for a local, popular vote before any monument celebrating military veterans could be moved.

Carmody also tells KEEL listeners that the Caddo monument is not on public land, as many claim, hence, wiould not be affected by his proposed law, as it makes its way through the Louisiana Legislature.
