Shreveport police investigators are trying to identify and locate a man who tried to rob a local discount store Wednesday night.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on November 4, patrol officers were called to the Family Dollar in the 2600 block of Hollywood Avenue to reports of an attempted armed robbery at the business.

Employees told detectives a man armed with a handgun and wearing a bandanna over his face walked in the front door and pointed his weapon at people inside. He left on foot moments later, empty-handed.

The incident was captured on surveillance video from the store. Police have released the photos in the hope that someone will come forward with information on who this would-be robber is.

If you know anything that could help, call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
