Shreveport police are trying to identify and catch the man who robbed a local financial institution this morning.

Just before 10 a.m., patrol officers were called to a hold-up alarm at ANECA Federal Credit Union in the 4300 block of Youree Drive. They were told a man had entered the business and gave the teller a note demanding money.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and was seen running westbound across Youree to an awaiting SUV parked nearby. No one inside the credit union was injured.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, about 5'6" to 5'8" and 150-160 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with a black t-shirt underneath, light gray pants and black sneakers. He was also wearing a hat.

Robbery detectives continue their investigation, and are reviewing surveillance footage from the business. Anyone with information that can help is asked to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
