UPDATE: Mark Colby Captured in Mexico – Wanted for the Murder of Angela Godley in Shreveport

Breaking:  Shreveport police say Mark Colby has been captured in Mexico. He's wanted for the murder of Angela Godley in her Shreve Island home

Police believe 58-year-old Mark Colby is responsible for shooting 53-year-old Angela Godley in the upper body in the home they shared in the 1900 block of Bayou Drive.

58-year-old Mark Colby is now being sought by authorities for his alleged role in the murder of 53 year old Angela Godley, whose body was discovered inside her Bayou Drive home; the victim of multiple gunshot wounds.  During the course of the ongoing investigation, authorities gathered information linking Colby to the crime.  The warrant, procured by investigators Thursday evening, charges Colby with a single count of second degree murder.  

Local authorities are currently working alongside Agents with the United States Marshal's Office Violent Offenders Task Force in addition to other law enforcement entities in search of Colby, who is believed to have fled the area.

Colby owned The Noble Savage Tavern in downtown Shreveport, but recently fave it to Godley to continue operating. Police spent several hours searching the business over the past two days, but Colby never showed up. Flowers have been dropped off outside the business.

Police are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mark Colby to contact authorities at once.  Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of Colby.
