Shreveport Police Nab a Scam Artist

Police have caught up with a man who has been pulling a scam.  He’s taken money from residents, but no work ever gets done.

Shreveport Police say Donnie Russell was going door-to-door offering to do handyman jobs.

He would ask for money up front, but never show back up to do any work. Police want to talk to any residents who might have been scammed by the guy. One woman says she game him nearly $500 dollar, but he did not work.
Russell is now cooling his heels in the city jail.
