Police are investigating armed robbery.Police are trying to identify and catch the man responsible for robbing an individual at gun point in east Shreveport late Friday  night.

Here are details from a police news release:

At approximately 10:25 p.m. on December 12, 2014, Shreveport Police Patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery in the500 block of Jordan Street. Upon arrival, patrolmen learned the victim was at the Triple J in the 600 block of Stoner Avenue, when a male suspect came up asking the victim for a ride to the 500 block of Jordan Street. Once they arrive on Jordan Street, the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim's money. After the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money, he fled the scene on foot. The victim was not injured during the robbery.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Tactical Robbery Unit along with Crime Scene personnel arrived on scene and launched their inquiry into the robbery. Detectives were able to get a photo from the Triple J's surveillance video of the alleged suspect, who is described as a black male with a beard, wearing a dark colored hoodie, dark pants, and a light colored hat with the Saints logo on the front.
