Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler has revealed details about how she will be working to provide a safe and thriving city with opportunities for every citizen.

The Mayor's four-year strategic plan is quite detailed. It identifies overall city and department-specific goals to be tracked and evaluated yearly and accomplished by 2019.

Tyler admits that full implementation of this plan will be challenging, but she and her staff do operate with a sense of urgency and clear expectations.

The plan includes specific objectives such as developing a minimum wage of no less than $10 per hour for all city employees. Tyler says officials must also decide how to fund a large portion of the additional $400 million needed for street repairs.
