Expect the fur to fly now that Mayor Cedric Glover has said he will not change his mind about a plan for a dog park in Shreveport. Cynthia Keith with the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance says she is disappointed and revealed that her group is planning to take legal action.

The Red River Waterway Commission has already approved $280,000 dollars for the park to be built at the Hamel Memorial Park along the riverbank. Mayor Glover, however, maintains that the city has other higher priorities on the riverfront.

"He was elected to faithfully and impartially execute his duties and that includes signing documents," said Keith, adding: "If he says no, we will file a lawsuit by the end of the week."
