A man shot in Shreveport in mid-March has died, and his death has now been ruled a homicide. Just before 1 a.m. on March 14th, Shreveport patrol officers arrived at a home in the 200 block of Prospect to find 41-year-old Delon Williams suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to LSU Hospital, where he later underwent surgery. He was able to tell officers that two men kicked in his door and shot him. On May 15th, patrolmen were called to a report of a deceased person in the 1500 block of Easy Street. There, they found Williams dead. Caddo Coroner Todd Thoma has determined that Williams ultimately died as the result of being shot back in March. Detectives have been able to tentatively identify the two possible suspects, and continue working to charge them appropriately for the crime.
