A 43-year-old Shreveport man has been sentenced to 100 months in federal prison and lifetime supervised release.  That's the sentence handed John Carpenter Myers  for distributing child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say Louisiana authorities were notified by an undercover investigator in another state that Myers was making images of children in sexual situations available through file sharing software on his computer.  A search of his computer revealed more than 1800 videos and 3600 digital photographs of minors in sexually abusive circumstances.
