A Shreveport man is the latest victim of violence in our city.

23-year-old Bryan Stewart was shot several times at an intersection in Queensborough late Saturday night.

Stewart was found by his nephew and a friend just after 10 p.m. as they drove north on Arkansas Avenue near its intersection with West Caperton, where they found the victim after hearing shots fired. The nephew and his friend drove Stewart to Willis-Knighton Medical Center on Greenwood Road, where he died.

Police took fingerprints at the hospital, and a Shreveport police detective familiar with Stewart also positively identified him. Stewart then was taken to University Health hospital, where an autopsy will be performed.
