Shreveport Man Injured After Falling Out of Pickup Truck

An unidentified man is recovering in a Shreveport hospital after flying out of the back of a pickup trick with the mattress he was attempting to hold down.

Police are reporting that around 12:30 p.m. Thursday (6/19) a man was riding in the back of a pickup on top of a mattress and box spring along I-49 southbound. When the mattress flew out the truck, the man went with it.

He landed in the highway and hit a concrete barrier with his shoulder. The mattress was not tied down.

The man sustained non life-threatening injuries and is recovering at University Hospital.
