Shreveport Man Found Guilty of Murder

It only took about a half-an-hour — 35 minutes, to be exact — for a Caddo Parish jury to determine that a 52-year-old Shreveport man was guilty. Jurors have convicted Conner Ray Brown on a charge of second-degree murder for the shooting death of Etta Thomas. She was killed in January of 2010 during an altercation at a home in the 5700 block of Ellison Street. In Louisiana, a second-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
