Shreveport Man Convicted for Carjacking and Robbery
It only took a Caddo Parish jury about 30 minutes to convict a Shreveport man on charges of armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping.
Prosecutors say 50-year-old James Alphonso Parker forced his way into a man's car last year at gunpoint. Once inside the car, he ordered the man to drive to a pair of ATMs and withdraw a total of $600. Then he fled, leaving the victim unharmed. Caddo District Judge Katherine Dorroh has ordered Parker to return to court next Wednesday, May 15th, for sentencing.
