The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant across the street from a local elementary school and arrested one person on drug charges.

Sheriff Steve Prator and Police Chief Willie Shaw say agents went to a residence in the 3800 block of Conway Street, across the street from Claiborne Fundamental Elementary, and found 31-year-old Renaldo Marquette Smith inside the home.

During the search, agents found about 150 grams of marijuana and two semi-auto pistols, one of which was reported stolen from Bossier City. The weapons and the majority of the marijuana were discovered in an attic crawl space.

Smith was charged with marijuana possession with intent to distribute, possessing a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a stolen firearm. More charges against him are possible.
