A Shreveport man's been arrested for allegedly stealing cash from another man while they were going through security screening at the Caddo Parish Courthouse.

Caddo deputies say an 80-year-old man placed $1200 in a tray which then moved through the screening process on a conveyer belt.   When he went to retrieve his money on the other side, he found it missing.  Deputies quickly checked the video of the screening and identified the man who was in line in front of the victim.  A deputy spotted 20-year-old Jutrivan Smith on the second floor of the courthouse where he was waiting to go to court on a previous charge of illegal use of a weapon.  He was stopped and questioned and deputies found him to be in possession of the victim's money and money clip.  Smith was arrested and taken to Caddo Correctional Center where he was booked on a charge of theft.
