A Shreveport man is now in jail for his alleged role in a shooting last evening in the Highland neighborhood.

Police say Vincent Ilari was found at the intersection of Centenary Boulevard and Merrick Street. He'd been shot once in the lower body. He was taken to LSU Health Shreveport with a potentially life-threatening wound.

Detectives were able to gather enough evidence to link 26-year-old Carllee Murray to the crime. They located him overnight at a home in the 400 block of Stoner Avenue.

He's refused to make a statement about his possible involvement in the shooting. He's charged with attempted first-degree murder.
