Shreveport Man Arrested After Returning to Home He Allegedly Shot At Earlier
A localt man is in jail for firing several shots at an east Shreveport home. Fortunately, he didn’t hit anyone. It happened in the 400 block of West 74th street, when a man in a black Oldsmobile was seen firing several rounds from a handgun. Shreveport police detectives identified the man as 20-year-old Devangelo Simmons, but they were unable to locate him…until several hours later, when he apparently drove back by the same house…in the same car.
Officers caught up with him in the 7100 block of Burlingame Boulevard and took him to jail. He was charged with illegal use of a weapon from a moving vehicle and taking contraband into a penal facility. No word on what that contraband was.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a rift between Simmons and one of the home’s residents.
