Shreveport's fourth leadership academy for city employees is underway.  Participants in the class will spend the next six months learning the skills and techniques they will need to move into roles of greater responsibility when opportunities arise.  They'll be exposed to a series of management and leadership sessions involving training in ethics, public speaking, customer service, budgeting, team building, and best practices for managers and supervisors.  The sessions are conducted by internal and external professionals who share their expertise and experience with more than 30 high-performing employees selected from all city departments.

Since the program started, 91 city employees have completed the academy.
